I got an email notification yesterday from Garmin that they have updated their software for our chart plotters, NMEA 2000 systems, etc. It looks like a significant update that would apply to all of the Garmin installations in our Ranger Tugs. In fact, the email makes it sound like quite the update: "As an owner of Garmin Marine Electronics, you know that we regularly provide software updates. However, these updates are especially attractive."
You have to have a PC to download and configure a SD card for the update, or you can order it on a SD card for about $30. Once I can find a PC to use (we are a Mac household), I will download the file and try the update. Meanwhile, if anyone else installs the update, can you let us know here on Tugnut how it went?
