Generator + Air co underway at 17knots

Hi. Happy new owner of a 2016 Cutwater 30 CB. I recently had my generator impeller break apart after running at 17 knots with generator and air conditioning on. Might have been unrelated but just wondering if reduced water intake ability at speed is an issue? (95 degree heat wave here in NE right now!)

In Charleston we run the A/C all the time. We cruise at 22knots. Impellers are finicky. I have put whole seasons on an impeller, and then I had one last most of one night before it self destructed. Probably was just bad luck.
