Generator use

Had my 2020 29S for a year now and only cycled the generator. Can I run AC off the generator while underway?

I've run mine AC off my Westerbeke 5.0 mcg, however, it was more of a test than prolonged use. Sadly, my generator breaks down constantly and I use it very little, mostly running it to avoid future trouble. The installation on my Cutwater C302c is in an awful place, basically the bilge.

The LE version of the 29 has two AC units and two 30 amp shore power receptacles to handle the extra current load if both are running. I believe you can run just the one unit off the generator. There are two videos on the R29 on the Ranger tug website under the customer care tab

My experience in C302…A/C runs fine off genset…Just have to stay 10 knots (appx) or less to keep cooling water fed into intake scoop for air conditioner cooling water.
