Gig Harbor

Heard some talk that Gig Harbor entrance has been silted in. I know that there are sand spits to be navigated going in and out, but is the channel essentially open?

Gig Harbor entrance has always been very shallow. But last september it was normal. Lots of large boats inside the harbor. Not a problem, especially for a ranger tug.

Just talked to the folks representing Gig Harbor at the Seattle Boat Show. The entrance is in fine shape. And, water and power have been added to the public dock.

Any info regarding a fuel dock in Gig Harbor? It is my understanding there isn't one.

I don't know about Gig Harbor proper, but it's pretty close to Tacoma and the many marinas there, where you could certainly get fuel.
