What a beautiful day to wake up to here in Anacortes. It was one of those rare days where there was not a breath of wind. The water was glass smooth so you know there was no way we were going to stay ashore even with new counters and flooring being put in our new home. We told our contractor that if he had questions to call us on our cell phone as we were taking "Adventurer" out for a cruise. We cruised up to Chuckanut Bay to see the beautiful homes along the beach, and into Bellingham Bay. There were all kinds of wildlife to observe, porpoise, seals, sea lions, and all kinds of birds. The commercial crabbers were out pulling pots and were fun to watch going about their business. We had a glitch with our VHF not wanting to turn on even with the owners manual in hand going thru the steps. However a call to Andrew helped us get it going. I still don't know why it did what it did but we got it up and running and off we went. Ida was in Anchorage last week with snow many feet deep and temps just above zero. We love the Anacortes area. And did I mention that "we love this boat!"?

Good to hear from you Randy. Glad to see you and Ida are enjoying your boat and your new home in the northwest.

Randy and Ida --- Glad to see that you were able to take advantage of the day. Lucky me, I got to spend the afternoon in "rehab". But I did get to look at the boats in the bay from my window when I got home. Give me a few more weeks and we will be out there too. --- Cary

Cary, sorry you are down. Heal well and get back on the bike and boat. Hope to visit with you again this summer.
