Used the CBP ROAM app for the first time yesterday coming into the US from the Canadian Gulf Islands. Very easy and didn’t need to physically stop and check in. Answered a few short questions and we were on our way. CBP agent was very polite.

Same results for us, so easy. Our guy on Sunday must have talked to several from the Poet's Cove group as he asked if we won any door prizes.

He asked us the same question! We had so much fun meeting you and everyone else at the Poets Cove rendezvous! Good times!

CBP ROAM - definitely a great app and smooth process with U.S Customs heading back on Sunday from Poets Cove, our first experience venturing back to U.S. waters from Canada....officer commented we were moving along at a pretty good clip (R-25SC) , don't often hear that about our Toot Sweet, my brother Steve was at the helm when I was video chatting with officer so he could see my brother who has a U.S. passport, however, he was not a "verified traveler". My wife and I have NEXUS cards so no issue with us.....

We had a great time venturing to Poets Cove and getting to know fellow Ranger Tug owners.......

Yes, very easy. However we did get DENIED ENTRANCE once, it was because we were just outside the border, still in Canada by a short distance so the learning is to make sure you've crossed the line and are fully in US waters before calling in.

Didn’t have ROAM yet when we crossed back into the USA from Canada last week. We have NEXUS so it was just a phone call to get clearance. But we did get a 15 minute talking too from the CBP agent about how great ROAM was and that we should install it right away once we were home. Ok, it’s now installed on the iPhone!

Good to know about entering US before making the call. We were near Friday Harbor when we called, but I wasn’t sure exactly where they prefer you to make the call.

We entered Alaska from Canada in Ketchikan a few weeks ago and used the CBP Roam app. No response. Then we called and the first thing they asked was “Did you use CBPRoam?...Yes, and we both have Nexus cards...OK, I’ll let them know”, about three minutes later we got an “Approved” indication in the App! I guess everyone is getting used to it but they expect you to use it, even with Nexus.
