Great Lakes Rendezvous

It’s getting closer to boating season in the Great Lakes so I thought it was time to post an update for the August 14,15 and 16th Great Lakes Ranger Tugs/Cutwater Boats Rendezvous in Traverse City, Michigan. For the three day event we’ll be having a pot luck dinner, 3 catered meals, a pizza party, a very nice Ranger Tug or Cutwater zip up cloth bag, hats and a chance to win a Fluid Motion parts certificate ( valued at approximately $100.00) along with Coast Guard inspection availability and a bunch of fun. In the next few weeks I’ll be emailing everyone an official registration form/ payment request…..less then $100 per person (need to finalize catering expenses). I have a group of slips being held for the 14, 15 & 16. I’ll instruct you next month how to reserve and pay for dockage for these specific 3 days. If you’re interested in arriving early or staying after the event you’ll want and need to reserve just those dockage days separately thru the Michigan DNR @ http://www.midnrreservations.com or call them at 1-800-447-2757. The marina is the Duncan Clinch Marina in Traverse City. Again this is ONLY for dockage before or after the Rendezvous. Rendezvous date reservation info will be sent to you in March. Attention to everyone who’s on the “keep me informed” list for this summers Great Lakes Area Rendezvous…..I have emailed each of you the official registration form on Wednesday 4/6/22 and would like to make sure you’re aware. If you’ve already seen it great, you know what to do. If you have not seen the email yet I’d ask that you’d search it out in your regular and or junk email files and respond accordingly. If you do not find it for any reason please PM me and I’ll be happy to resend.

IMPORTANT UPDATE. As of this morning 4/16/2022 we have reached the maximum capacity for the Great Lakes Rendezvous from a dockage standpoint, with 28 boats registered and dockage made. I’ll be working with the Harbor Master to try and get more space on the first come first serve marina interior break wall side to dock. At this point I have 2 boats on a wait list, to take this dock space if it becomes available and or if someone cancels. If you’re still thinking of attending I can place you on the wait list upon receipt of your registration form and check. I will not deposit your check until and if dockage becomes available….no guarantees but this seems to be as fair a process as possible.

As of 4/25/22 our Great Lakes Rendezvous is full, those on the wait list have been notified that they have slips. Anyone else that is interested can still be placed on a wait list, only getting filled if someone already registered cancels. As of today there is one party on that list. In the 6 times we’ve held a Great Lakes Rendezvous I’ve never seen it fill up so quickly.
