I have used Magma grills for 20 years or so. I like the grills but I am often frustrated with the mounting options. My wife and I are into cooking, so it may be more of an issue for us. I often have trouble finding a good spot to mount the grill and then I'm uncomfortable with this hot grill being near the cockpit.

So I cobbled this up. This is the smallest Magma, the 9x12. Has proven big enough for the two of us. Same concept may work for the 9x18 size. It's pressure treated wood (make sure food doesn't touch it). I removed the Magma legs and mounted directly to the wood. The 'handles' are draw pulls from home depot. I have elastic cords that go to small hooks mounted on the cooler. I put rubber feet on the bottom of the wood platform. I cut the wood so it fits into the recess on the Coleman cooler. Very stable mount.

When done, it fits into the cabinet underneath. After one season of use, it has worked out well for us.

I didn't like the storage bracket for the factory Kuuma option, and with the legs open you couldn't really use on top of the cabinet.

If you do decide to try this, make sure you get a 9x12 with a blue valve regulator. There are some out there with a gray (unpainted metal) regulator that doesn't work well.
