Has anyone had experience working with Steve Guyer of Guyer Boatworks in Ferndale near Bellingham.

Is he still in business? Took our deposit on a new dinghy and won't reply to emails and phone VM.

Buyer Beware! Once this supplier gets your deposit checks, he doesn’t return emails, phone calls, or texts. He promises delivery dates then changes them. He doesn’t finish the job in one visit, but requires multiple return visits to do what was agreed upon. The only time you hear from him in a timely manner is when he is looking to be paid. Then, when the work is finally done, he is slow to acknowledge that he’s been paid, even when he knows that he is holding up the sale of your main boat (along with the tender that he provided). In fact, he even said that he had not received the final payment check when in fact it was already deposited into his bank account. If you aren’t ready to repeatedly revise your boating plans or have multiple attempts at communication ignored because of his lack of organization or commitment, shop elsewhere. There is NO acceptable excuse for bad manners, broken promises, and poor customer service.

This dealer is terrible!!! Bought a used Achilles from him last fall. He agreed to deliver it to Bellingham Yachts (Cutwater dealer) when I was ready for it in the spring. Many calls went unanswered . Same with messages with one exception “I’ll call you back”. He never did. When he finally delivered it, he failed to install the keel protector he promised. Same for the pump and repair kit he promised. With this guy, buyer beware!!!

Hey there. I am having a similar experience. I would love to chat privately with you all about Guyer if you have a minute. If so, let me know and I can give you my private contact info.
