Any advice on how to troubleshoot weather beacon to chart plotter?

Is your subscription still valid? They icon's only show up for weather (under "charts") with a valid and active XM Weather subscription.

We have had ours stop working when the antenna "crashed" (who knew, apparently it has a chip). Pulling the fuse rebooted it and then it worked. More here http://www.tugnuts.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=16537&hilit=+Fuse#p108033

Note also about the subscription. Sometimes it needs to have Sirius send a new code; there is some way I can't recall to do that from your account. Also Wx doesn't show up on our plotter unless zoomed out a ways (at least several miles across).

If your Sirius XM weather has not been used in a while, you likely need to refresh the signal. You’ll need your radio ID. If you don’t know what your radio ID is, you should be able to find in your boat documents, probably with the manual for the GXM-54.

Here’s a link to accomplish the refresh. It refers to “radio”, but will work with your weather system.

Hello,

Ensuring you have a current valid XM subscription is the most important part, if not you will not get the weather tiles. If you do have a subscription and have tried rebooting the antenna the next step would be to call Sirus XM for help, they have been a big help to me in the past. Hope this all helps!

Thanks for the tip. I was expecting the tiles to be there but not working without a subscription.

I will get the subscription and go from there.
