We spent 8 days on the S/V Maple Leaf cruising Haida Gwaii and Gwaii Haanas.
The ship was beautifully restored, the crew was superb, the chef was worthy of royalty, and the Haida were welcoming and willing to share their stories.
I know there's a lot of beautiful places on the BC and Alaska coast, but Haida Gwaii has to be in the top tier.
Got to see orcas, humpbacks, steller sea lions, river otters, risso's dolphins, puffins, eagles, black bear, black tail deer and creatures of the tidal zones.
