Happy Halloween. Where are all the Tug Nutters looking for free candy? We are having a great time with all the young (very young) kids in our neighborhood, they are all soo cute. This is the first time we have had trick or treaters in a long time (no kids in our old neighborhood).
All the best

We don't get too many trick or treaters where live.

When we headed south on the ICW a couple of years ago, we spent Halloween in Hampton, VA at the Hampton Public Pier. We had more trick or treaters there than we do here at home! They came in costume by dinghy, visiting other boats at anchor and in the marina.

We weren't expecting any trick or treaters until the first dinghy pulled up and a pint-sized pirate and a pretty little princess knocked on the hull yelling "Trick or Treat!" We had no Halloween treats onboat, so like most boaters, we made do with what we had. Elaine was prepared for Christmas, however, so she dug deep into her stash and we ended up giving candy canes to all, making it a very Merry Halloween!

Well, we did not have any trick or treaters last night either. We are in our motor home parked under one of our billboards in Atlanta, Texas. We did have a nice dinner at "Amigo Juan's" Mexican restaurant next door though. Hopefully to splash Willie's Tug on Friday back in the Tropical Tip.

No trick or treaters at our place... might be due to the fact that we live on a small island that is mostly retired folks. 😉 Joan did see three kids go by last night, but they didn't stop; we were out on the deck, enjoying the lovely evening.

Love the Bay Ranger tale of kids trick or treating by dinghy! Boat kids learn great social skills!

Happy Dia de los Muertos,
Jim B.

Nita and I had about 40-45 kids come by. This does not include the adults looking for a handout of candy and/or adult beverage. It was a fun night.

In Edmonds, WA the center of town is closed off to traffic/cars. Thousands of kids/adults all dressed up wander about collecting candy from the business shops that stay open to hand out the goodies. This year Edmonds city council coughed up some brass for a music event held at the town's center round-a-bout as well as a device to shoot out white fog/mist into the crowds. My grand son was dressed up as a hot dog and grand daughter was an owl.

We finished the night off at Demetri's WoodStone Taverna adjacent to the Port of Edmonds. 🙂
