Our waters will be much calmer on Monday, the 6th. I went out for a short cruise Friday about 2:00 PM. The South end of Lake Lanier, GA, had already been churned and the fuel dock at my marina had boats lined up five boats deep. It was a lumpy, bumpy cruise.

Hope all of your had a safe and happy 4th!

We've been on the boat for the last two weeks, traveling up the Hudson River, through the Champlain Canals and are now sitting at a Marina on Burton Island State Park in Lake Champlain... so glorious! Saw a Ranger 21 in Schylerville, NY and heard about a 25 in Westport, NY, where we enjoyed the 4th of July and some great fireworks!

Had a great three night excursion on Slow 'n Easy on Lake Texoma. Gorgeous, if hot (101+) weather. During fireworks on Saturday night, a storm came up and chased us home prematurely (we err on the side of caution due to lack of speed), but were able to enjoy the show out the back. Just as we arrived to home port, the wind switched around to the north and the temperature dropped 15 degrees in a matter of minutes. Best sleeping weather we've ever experienced! Hope one and all enjoyed their tugs as much as we did!

Happy 4th to all! Had a great time. We went south in the sound and anchored at hope Is, and Eagle Is and found dock space at Jarrells Cove! Found Little Raven (a 94 R-21) and had a great time! Here's to hoping all of our fellow friends and owners enjoyed there toys as much!
Cheers,
Drew

Had a great 4th of July Weekend on our new to us '08 R21EC. Spent the 3rd running from Cambridge, MD to Oxford, MD where we watched fireworks on the hook in the Tred Avon River. On the 4th we traveled back to Cambridge and enjoyed spectacular fireworks from the Hyatt RiverMarsh Marina.

The 21 pushed thru 2-4 ft waves going to Oxford, and we had the same wave height on the stern on the return trip to Cambridge. The little tug did much better than expected with the white caps, but we did spill diesel from the fuel vent with all the rocking. It was a grand weekend. WJC

Vicki and I went out to Blake Island on Wednesday, the 1st, and came back on Saturday, the 4th. The marina was dynamically full by Friday, and the boats never stopped coming in, hoping for a spot or a raft-up opportunity. The volunteer dock hosts did a fine job of accommodating people and keeping everything kind-spirited.

Lots of hiking, some bocci ball, plenty of picture taking, and a never ending flow of folks who wanted to know more about Ranger Tugs. I think we gave about a dozen tours of Moondance. Most folks went from disbelief, "yes, it's only 25 feet", to amazement upon boarding.

For those who haven't visited Blake Island, and those who know it well, here are some pictures from our recent trips this summer: July || June

Cheers,

Bruce
