thought the community would be interested in the state of a 2012 cutwater 28 hull thats been in the salt water for 2.5 years with 2x coats of pettit vivid paint on the bottom and barnacle barrier on the prop and rudder. pretty impressed with the paint. after it was powerwashed it was only thinning in some areas.
I have lost the pin to the port trim tab over the winter it seems. tab was working as the hydraulic was pushing the tab down and the water was pushing it up and holding it in place.
lots of rust stains where the stainless parts bolt into in the swim step. although stainless itself looks good. we will no doubt find some other things to repair now its out.
photo of strainer shows how small those holes are but paint had done its job well and kept it clean.
zincs definitely needed changing so glad it came out. (zincs had 6 months on them and the marina location I am in is not hot)
Videos and photos of the haul are here

It's also interesting how complex the hull shape is on a cutwater 28. bulbous bow, aeriation step, bilge bulge and then keel back to rudder
