On inspection of cotter pin,that allows you to remove mast, found just barely attached. Caught in time preventing a major problem. Replaced pin with a SS Ring. That won't wriggle off.
 
Replaced mine with a SS one a couple of weeks ago. Totally rusted and staining the roof around it.
 
To add, when we trailer Kismet I zip tie that cotter pin ring to double prevent it from coming off while we trailer our boat.
