Any tips, tricks, suggestions, or customizations to make the head/toilet even nicer than it is on the R 27 or similar? No complaints, just looking to make my first mate even happier🙂 I did a "not-real-intensive-search on the forum," but figured it would just be easier to simply ask again. Thanks.

We didn't do much to the actual head. My wife was sold on the R27 based on the blue glass vessel sink alone! 😀 We did add dri-dek to the floor cut to shape. I don't know if you plan on using the shower but no one likes to stand in water on the floor. It works well to keep the floor dry.

We also added a holding tank monitor right next to the flush button. The sensor is just added to the outside of the tank. Make sure you seal around the monitor panel well as it is in the "shower" and exposed to water.

Adding a carbon filter to the holding tank vent line is also a must. Makes her much happier!

Heated seat....
Cushioned seat....
Replace seat with a slow closing one so it does not close with a bang. 🙂
Plumb head to use fresh water instead of the salt water as that can leave a permanent powerful stink/pong over time.

We mounted a series of bamboo storage boxes (about 2 inches deep X 10 inches long and 2 inches high) on the inside head door between the vertical rails. This is great for shaving items, tooth paste and all kinds of small doodads. Here is a link to Bed Bath & Beyond https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/st...nizer/126990?Keyword=bamboo+drawer+organizers We also put two hooks high on the wall to the side of the door to hang our towels.

Add a 12" grab bar to help a handicap person or a person with poor balance lift off the seat. This is far superior for the handicapped person from having to grab something else that may very well be damaged and pulled away from its wall attachment such as the shower head's sliding pole or a hanging towel on the door.

Being in the head with rolling seas outside can be quite a jostle inside the head enclosure.

It's too easy to leave the light on in the head enclosure.... so inventing a system to automatically turn it on and off could be an interesting and challenging task during spare time. 😉
