Has anyone ever had the head fill up and spill over while under way? I have the head valve in the ON position at all times (unless I really need to turn it off). This is a new issue I'm having. Thinking some sort of valve or something is stuck open but not sure. Only happens while underway. I do not hear it automatically flushing or adding water but it just fills up after 30 minutes of running at speed. Feel free to ask questions. Definitely looking for a solution 🙂

The joker valve can let water back into the head. Or the fresh water can get by it's valve, there is a new pump assembly for the past few years that has a turn to lock the pump lever down and this presses on the valve so if you have the flush lever set to rinse make sure you lock the pump handle by turning it as stated on the pump assembly. If you have a older pump a replacement is 100 cnd. And it has all the parts including a new joker Valve. I keep a complete assembly as a spare in case one part needs replacement. Easier to,replace the whole pump and fix the old pump at home.

Thank you Pilotnavigator. I'm very happy to replace the pump. Any other comments before I proceed?

Hello,

Seems strange that this is just now happening. I think we need to call the head manufacturer to see what might have failed. I will touch base with Longbeach to see what we can figure out and have them reach back out.

Thank you,

The latest version of the head pump has a lock position that if I did not turn it to lock, under way the head will get water in it. I thought I had a problem . Then looking at how the system works, looked at a video on the mfg, site, saw that the handle presses down on a flapper valve and keeps anything from coming back into the bowl.

Thanks Andrew. Bill is in the know 🙂
