Is any other R-27 owner having an issue with the head floor drain? It appears it was installed in the high spot, instead of the low spot. I have to lean on the starboard side to get it to drain properly.

Am off base?

I have the same issue. Our R27 has a port list- we have the genset option which is heavy. I squeegee the water toward the drain after using the shower. A small rag soaks up the rest.

All my tools go in the compartment on the starboard...helps a bit.

ANOTHER SOLUTION IS TO GO OUT AND STAND ON THE STARBOARD SIDE OF YOUR TUG [AFTER OF COURSE PUTTING ON AT LEAST A PAIR OF SKIVVIES ] GRAB THE UPPER HAND RAIL AND ROCK THE BOAT LIKE CRAZY  IF IN THE MARINA YOU CAN MAKE UP ALL SORTS OF REASONS AS TO WHAT YOU ARE DOING  AND IT WILL GET THE WATER OFF THE HEAD'S FLOOR.. HOPE THIS HELPS----- STEVEANDTINA

Thanks Steve and Tina:

Currently, we do exactly that. My wife is standing over my shoulder reading your response and laughing her skivvy-covered a-- off!! 🙂

Barry,
As Howard said “the gen set is heavy”. Sallison has a slight smile to starboard with no gen set and a solar panel and no floor drain problems. Mike Rizzo installed a nifty fresh water cockpit shower that lets him shower on the swim platform but his, saint of a wife, insists he cover up while doing so.

I actually installed a cockpit shower as well. Mounted it on the face of the stern propane locker. The wife loves it!

I have a genset, and now I have a 55 lb. 6-HP outboard for the inflatable that I keep on a bracket on the port side away from the transom door. Adds even a bit more list.

No problems, though. We don't mind rocking her to starboard and finishing up with a squeegee.

Just wanted to see what others are experiencing.

The boat rule for us is: whoever showers last has to squeegee and wipe down the shower. Yeah, I almost never get to shower first. 😉

I know how that feels!

Our Cutwater has the same issue. Interesting!
