This is a recurring battle - I'm not sure if it's because our holding tanks are fermented by heat from the engine, but I have found holding tank odor in my R27 harder to control than other boats. The headmistress advice is great but I don't think it works well for our specific tanks - there isn't enough ventilation and there is the engine heat thing. I tried her methods but unless I was able to pump out and rinse thoroughly once a week (I seldom was) the stench returned. I recently switched to Aquakem and a charcoal filter and so far, so good. I will keep you posted.
