Embarrassed to say, but I can't remember where my R29 draws raw water for the head. WInterizing today, and am in a complete brain-fart on this.

thanks for help!

Mine on hull #8 comes from the water tank and is supplied by the water distribution pump. However some may use raw water. If that is the case there will be a separate pump supply ing the head.

On my 2013 R27, the raw, toilet-flushing water comes from the same strainer as the engine-cooling and washdown water.

I should have specified that my comments are related to a vacuflush head system.

If your R-29 has a raw water flushing toilet then it will pick up the water from the main seacock in the engine compartment. You can winterize the toilet by adding antifreeze in through the multiport strainer cap.

Make sure to shut your seacock if the boat is still in the water!

Check the engine sea strainer. If you have a white pipe coming from it, you likely are using sea water. If you close the sea cock and open the strainer and flush you will know instantly. If not from there it is from the fresh water tank.
Good luck

On our 2015 R-29S, I believe water for washdown and head comes from separate through-hull and strainer on the starboard side accessed through starboard cockpit compartment.
