Heading North

We are so excited to be taking a road trip next weekend to the PNW to take delivery of our new 2018 CW 28! While our Cobalt allowed us to take advantage of short weather, tide and current windows and see a lot of cool places, the constant repositioning of cargo and crew and improvising with amenities started to get old (waking up to the rain running through the canvas and filling up my shoes while in the Broughtons last month didn’t help either). We figure the time save in constantly drying out the boat will more than offset the slower cruise speed.

We really appreciate all of the information shared on this site which has been very helpful in this decision. Hope to see you on the waters of Northen CA, the PNW or Powell soon. After about a year of shake down Prince Rupert is on the list before we head east to exploring the waters there.

Congratulations on the new Cutwater. I hope your delivery went well. I would expect it did if it was a factory delivery.The 28 might not be as fast has the Cobalt but it does perform quite well. You have approximately 5mph on my 26 cutwater. The added 2' LWL really helped that hull + 40 hp . Nice Boat !
