Hello From Vancouver

From the response in the above thread it looks like asking to see a Ranger Tug is like asking a Boy Scouts to see a knife. The whole troupe goes for their pocket!

...and what a jack-knife you folks have. Must be like a tour of the Swiss Army Knife factory when these Rangers get together.

Hello John & Anne -

You don't have to travel to the US to see a Ranger in the water - we are in Vancouver at Heather Marina in False Creek.

We are currently going into our 3rd spring/summer with an R-25 classic (same basic cabin layout as the R-27, but not as fancy as the new models). We go out almost every weekend, even in the winter and would be happy to entertain you onboard. We are a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids - 7 & 14 yrs) and the layout suits us just fine for weekend overnights on Bowen Island, trips into Howe Sound and last year we did our longest trip so far - 11 days to Desolation Sound with the other Tug Nuts. This is our first boat and we were able to learn pretty fast and have been very happy with the choice.

When you are ready, send us a note and we can get together at the marina.

Cheers,
Mary (& Mike)

Thanks very much, Mary and Mike. That's the marina that we sailed from years ago - glad to hear that there's a Ranger based there now. Also good to hear that there's enough room for a family aboard and that you're still altogether after the long Desolation trip.
I'm still chained to my desk on Saturdays, but if you find yourselves going out some Sunday (or returning) I would be happy to meet you before or after your voyage. I'll PM with my numbers, and look forward to seeing you some day in False Creek.
Thanks again.

John and Anne

I am contemplating purchasing a R31CB. What has been your experience thus far with durability reliability and support?
Randy

Hi Randy,
You might consider starting a thread with this question. I'm not bothered by you posting it, but am unsure whether it will get seen by others here.
Nothing to do with its quality, but that command bridge must leave scads of room in the cabin. Good luck.

John

Thanks, a rookie here on posting. I'll take your advice.
