My name is Kevin (female with a guy's name) Flanagan and my husband is Steve Hidalgo.
We are in the process of buying our first Ranger Tug and are certainly looking forward to getting
In the 'Tugnuts' circle and meeting lots of new friends.

We were in Everett the last week of November and had an excellent 3 days of initial orientation.
We spent the first day with Ronnie Gonzales. He was a wealth of information !!!! We learned so much
about the boat and the why's etc. We had an unexpected day at the end of our trip to go the factory
in Monroe, and once again, Ronnie so graciously took his time to walk us thru the entire build process.
That was a real treat, getting to see the inside and how everything comes together.
We had 2 days on the water with Captian Mac, and also were exceptional days. Again we really learned alot
from him. He was perfect because he explained things in a way that I could even comprehend! My husband has
boating experience, mine is extremely limited. I can't wait to take the helm myself!

Thanks for this forum and excited about the new addition!!!

Welcome to the group, wow you stepped right up to the flagship on your first purchase. Congratulations.

Don

Kevin & Steve,

Welcome to Tugnuts and Ranger Tugs ownership. I think you will love the boat, and you will enjoy, and benefit from, the Tugnuts companionship.

I'm glad to see another tug owner in Texas. I think there are now about 5-6 of us. I see that Blanco, TX is near Austin. Do you plan to cruise your R31 on the Texas Gulf coast or the lakes near Austin?

Thank you Don, we are pretty excited.

Dale, we do want to do the Texas Gulf Coast, but initially we are planning do the Florida coast. Where do you do you're boating? I was wondering how many Ranger Tug people were from Texas.

Welcome aboard Kevin and Steve to the Ranger Tug family. We look forward to hearing more about your Texas cruising adventures.

Jim

Welcome! Great boat! I see you are from Hill Country. There are a couple Ranger Tugs at the Tropical Tip (Port Isabel/South Padre Island), both of whom travel with their boats. I know Herb and Wilma (Willie's Tug, R-27) did the Texas Gulf Coast this past year.

We spent a winter on our C-Dory in Florida when we first got her. Lots of interesting cruising there.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Hi Kevin, I saw your post over on the map thread and welcomed you there. If I had checked here first, I would have seen that you may not put your 31 in the Blanco River. Might be a bit exciting. About like our trip through Dallas in our motorhome at rush hour tonight....a bit tight.

Welcome to the TugNuts, and if you get to the Tropical Tip, we will find a spot for you to dock and join us for happy hour.

Welcome to the Ranger Tug Family. It's great to see fellow Texans who are Tug owners and on the site. My wife is from El Paso and I'm from McAllen. However, the military (Texas Army National Guard) has me stationed up in the D.C. area. If you're ever in the neighborhood, let us know.

Thanks to all who have welcomed us.

Not only connecting with the Tugnuts group, I'm surprised and happy to see people in SPI and around Texas.
I grew up in Edinburg and did spend a ton of time in South Padre.

Blanco River would be a challenge to say the least!!!! I agree, about like Dallas rush hour.

Kevin/Steve, so happy for you both! Welcome aboard and glad you got to spend time at the factory. You have some fantastic places to take your new tug on the Texas coast. Enjoy!

Kevin & Steve,

In the summer our R27 is on Lake Texoma at Highport Marina. In the winter, our R27 is in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida and up/down the coast. Since you will be in Florida, send me a PM so that we can get in touch in Florida. Also, there is a Florida Rendezvous planned for Feb 1-4. Please consider attending. See this link:
