FYI...
During our sea trial with Andrew it was pointed out that the helm seat has been raised some 4". In providing the extra 4" not only does it provide a better viewing angle forward but also includes a nice looking teak box installed and attached to underneath the seat such that when the seat is folded up against the steering wheel it reveals/sports a stretchy net pocket that can be used to hold whatever (Thin books, User Manuals, Log book etc). A nice touch and good use of a hidden storage area. Like any product these days, continual improvements get made over time. Thanks Ranger Tugs. 🙂

Does anyone have any pictures of this seat riser box? Maybe Andrew could submit some pictures and us tug owners that don't have the riser box could build one. 😀

I will take pictures tomorrow when our R25 is delivered to our Marina. I can't imagine this extra goodie would be overly hard to construct and install. Later... 🙂

Point of interest: A swivel sets it up about 4 inches.

Here's a picture from the R29. Same box and pouch is used on the R25.

Nice. So how much for the upgrade for those of us that don't have the raised seat?

I would add some felt or rubber dots to the corners to avoid scratching the galley surface. 😳 If I were to HAVE such a nice raised seat....

I doubt the teak would scratch the galley counter top -- but better safe than sorry I guess. 😉 How about four suitable springs to soften the ride.... 😀

I'll defer the cost question to Andrew. sorry andrew
