if you have found the footrest at the helm station a bit high (which since I am over six feet talI has been the case with me), it is easy to lower it. The access panel inside the v berth is easy to remove, giving you access to the bolts holding the footrest in place. Then you just need to drill new holes and lower it. I lowered mine 6 inches and find it much more comfortable.
