Hello, I know everyone!! If you have a ranger tug with canvas on the back of the boat, there is a problem with the water puddling on the top and pouring out to the back of the boat, and if you aren't aware, you will get SOAKED. It's a terrible design, and there has to be something to do or change to a fiberglass top. I know you can't remove the canvas and leave it off. I have contacted Ranger Tug, and there has been no return. There has to be a replacement somehow.
PLEASE, ANY IDEAS, PLEASE

JIM

We had a Bimini top on our 2009 R-25 Classic from King Marine Canvas and never had an issue with water pooling. We currently have a 2017 C-28 with an 3rd party custom Bimini and have no water pooling problems with it either.
And it is/was reasonably easy to remove the canvas top from the frame for towing which we do often.
What year is your R-27 and is the Bimini from King Marine Canvas or someone else?

2019 R27 I had King just install a new Bimini maybe I will call them to see if they can stretch it out when they are in G H
Thank you

Awsome with the PVC pipe I will try it THANKS

What Elvin Ray did with the PVC on his boat worked perfectly on my C24. Cheap and did the job.

Thanks, everyone. I just ordered the tee, and I can't wait. I have had my RT27 for five years and have dealt with this.

Looking forward to hearing how it does on a R-27! Glad this has helped a few people.

I did the PVC fix on Oh Well!! a year ago. Simple and works fine. You may want to check the sewing on the Velcro straps. After 3 years some of my stitching was in need of replacement. Had a local sewing person resew the stitching wherever the Velcro was sewn. Out boat is a 2020 27 OB Tug. So basically 3 seasons of heat and sun in MA.

Looks great think that will help minimize the puddling.
