Help chasing a leak

Not sure I understand what you did. Are you saying you *did* remove the hinge pin to remove the hatch? Gary

Yes, I used a small drill bit to push it out a little, then used some pliers to pull it far enough out for the hinge to come apart. It took some pulling and wriggling to get it out enough and back in, but overall wasn't too bad. I kept the struts (the ones that hold the hatch open) attached but was still able to access all the screws fairly easily that way. Fingers crossed I am leak free so far.

Ah, I see. thanks for the details. I have the same issue with a hatch above the cave entrance that abuts the roof rack also preventing access to some screws. Gary

Unfortunately I think I fixed the wrong area. Post fix, there was leakage yet again. I removed the inside trim on the hatch, did some more spraying on the topside, and as best as I can tell now, the leak is coming from the area circled in red. When I sprayed the hatch before, the water ran past the hatch into this channel. I think, but am looking for some insight/sanity check, that it is possible that the water goes into this channel, and up under the lip, and gets in through the screw holes. Can anyone confirm if this is possible, and if so, is removal of this piece as simple as removing the ~8 screws, bedding everything well, and reattaching, or is there anything under this piece of fiberglass?
