I have a 2025 R31. The holding tank gauge always shows red, which will not allow the toilet to be flushed. I have repeatedly filled and pumped out the tank. I always use Zaal Noflex Digester.

Is this a common problem? Is there a work around to use the toilet. Fortunately, the R31 has an emergency backup toilet in the cave.

I finally gave up and reported to Ranger Tug.

If your tank has the "stick on" sensors, you might check to see if the full tank sensor has been dislodged and is now lying down low against the tank or another surface causing it to stay in a constant "active, full" state.

Thanks, already checked that. While there I discovered the shower pump out hose had fallen off. Luckily I fixed it before my next shower.

You can hold the flush button for 10 seconds to flush when it is red.

I have the opposite issue, mine always shows empty.

I've replaced the sensors, but that didn't help.

Unfortunately, the long press isn’t working. Thanks anyway.

Happened to us, sensor routinely showed red regardless of the actual level in the tank. Temporary solution was to disconnect the top sensor. Factory sent a different gauge that was installed into the top of the tank, with a status gauge installed above the toilet. We are happy with the new gauge - gives a much more accurate view of level in the tank.

What was done to disconnect the sensor?

One snip, and I have a toilet that flushes. Now, time for Ranger Tug to fix it under warranty.

I missed the part about the holding tank gauge on our RT 27 orientation and wondered about not having one. Where is it? Thanks

Steve

It’s just the LED on the flush controller. It cycles from green/yellow/red.

So what do you do if it never turns red? Mine never turns red. I tested it in my yard on trailer with hose.

If you have the R27 OB I don't think they have ever come with a gauge for the black water tank. I ended up installing my own light that comes on when the tank is almost full.
