So I’m going to remove the holding tank vent hose at the tank. Having a hell of a time getting it off with the sealant they use. The vent hose is also under a larger hose, so access is also a problem. Do the hoses have to be cut to be removed? Not sure if there’s enough slack in line to reconnect vent hose. Literal have not had a repair that is easy on this boat!

You should try working on a RT25SC being 4 foot shorter and 1.5 feet narrower with all the same stuff installed.

If the hose won’t come off I would cut it and clean up the holding tank connection. If you do not have sufficient slack purchase a short length of the same hose and connect it to the tank and to the original hose using a double male connector.

Good luck

Not being able to remove the hose easily is a good thing because it’s most likely not to leak. When I’ve had to work on holding tank hoses I’ve simply cut them to remove and replace when finished with whatever the job was. The added benefit is you have a fresh hose that has not absorbed any waste odors.

Thanks....cutting it is. Being 6’4”‘doesn’t help the bending to the needed contortions!

Another tip to help get the hose onto the fittings a little easier......just before you’re ready to re install the hose boil a pan of water and put one end into the hot water for a short while. This allows the hose to be pliable and therefore easier to slide onto the fitting.
