Hose Diameter - Hot Water Heater

Can anyone tell me the inside diameter of the hot and cold water hoses coming off the water heater?

I have a 6 gallon heater in my R-27.

Both hot and cold are 5/8 inches ID.

If you really want to make sure of the size you can always easily remove the heater at the helm. Those hoses run back to the heater and are very easy to see and size.

My take on this is that Barry is asking about the heater in the fresh water or domestic system. Knotflying seems to be referring the the space heater in the engine cooling system.

Thanks folks. Yes, I am going to try something different this year and by-pass the water heater while winterizing. I ended up getting a 1/2" straight "hose mender". I am going to drain the water heater right at its low pint through the draining valve. It will save me $20 and I don't have to rinse out as much non-toxic next spring.

We shall see what we shall see.
