Does anyone know how to access the freshwater tank on a 2015 R 27 , I have looked where the 2015 R27 schematic suggests the tank is but can not find any access to it, has any body had any experience locating it ? The reason I am looking for it as the sensor keeps sticking and want to look at replacing it

Do a search on this forum, it was discussed within the last year and Red Raven had the solution to the fix.

Two years later and I am still having the same issue unable to find the Red Raven thread any body got any fixes for this issue the water gauge is stuck on the halfway stage. the schematic on the boat suggests the water tank is just under the bow birth if it is how do you access it ?
Any suggestions would be a help.
Thanks

I had same question and Jared from the factory said you can access sender by taking the refrigerator out. I have not done it yet, but that advise was from the factory.

Hi,
Our fresh water level sender was occasionally sticking at about the halfway point and getting much worse over the past few years. When I removed the sender, the float was very worn and disintegrated. The center hole was no longer round (see photo) both reducing buoyancy and likely allowing for self-jamming. Seeing the new float next to the old (see 2nd photo) was pretty dramatic. Looks like 14 years of bobbing up and down had taken a toll.

We have a 2011 R-27, I would guess it was the same as the 2015. The fresh water tank was under the floor in the forward cabin, ending just about at the entrance to the v-berth. The access to the level sender was under the refrigerator. The sender was visible in the gap between the floor under the fridge and the cabinet face, but was inaccessible. I cut an access hole in the fridge floor to be able to unscrew and remove the sender. Other than cutting the hole, the rest of the replacement was quick and easy. Now the gauge works as it should and we are good for several more years.

good luck,
Brendan

The fix on our boat referred to above was to just take the boat out in heavy seas and then the stuck float resolved itself. With some effort you may be able to do it at the dock by rocking the boat. After doing this several times it cleared up for good. This was when our boat was new. Perhaps mfg debris stuck in the float.

I think my water gauge float is out of round also. Where did you get a new one?

The failed sender on our R-27 (2011) was a WEMA SSL13.5. I had the thing all apart and needed a replacement for the upcoming weekend so I opted for this clone from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0912H83D7?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1. It arrived the next day and fit and worked perfectly.

As mentioned above, the float was very worn. I also cut the tube off and saw signs of moisture intrusion and rust on the inside, another potential cause of the troubles it was having.
