How do I replace Serpentine belt 2019 C30 CB w/o removing?

Good afternoon,

I shredded my compressor belt due to a seized pulley. Is the only way to work on the front of the engine to lift it up and back, or out in it’s entirety?

You can sort of get at it by removing the webasto pump box and the heat shield, but its still not great access. The belt itself can be replaced with a special tool, not sure about the pulley.

We shredded our belt due to alternator bearing fail. Luckily found a mechanic with really long arms! We also relocated the bilge high water alarm to a more accessible spot. The front bilge pump and the alarm sensor are near the front of the Volvo engine. The alarm sensors often fail and drive marina crews crazy….but this is not a Cutwater only issue.
