Are the stern cleats on the swimstep strong enough for towing a tube from an R23? (with a bridle to go around the outboard)
I've seen mention of using the tie-down eyes, but they are quite low - under the swimstep on the R23, which is not good for towing anything in the water 🙂
Otherwise I assume I'll have to install towing eyes on the transom with backing plates?
Or can I use the stern cleats on the port/starboard sides of the R23? (I'd need a longer bridle)
Thanks!
jason.
