Hi Everyone,
I am updating our web site and looking for photos of Ranger Tugs with all the different hull colors. We have met more Soon-To-Be-TugNuts at the Boston and Maine boat shows and they are asking for more visuals. Not surprisingly, some of the very best photos I have found are right here, in your posts and albums. Would anyone allow me to copy a photo and post it (with or without credit to the owners - as you wish)?
Thanks,
Rosemary

That was a problem we had when we ordered our tug. Neither the dealer nor the website had pictures of tugs displaying all the different colors. As a minimum, the factory should provide all the dealers glossy's of all the colors available. What we had to resort to was we went on YouTube and looked at the rendezvous that had many of the available colors.

Rosemary, You may use the pictures of my R21-EC that are in my album. I have some on a trailer, at the dock, and some interior shots.

help yourself to any in my album

If you can find a favorite photo of each model (have permission to use it) and a sample of each color available I could just re-color each model in all colors that the factory produces... sort of a colorchart.

(Hey Richard/Jeff what do you think?)

Feel free to look at the album for Red Ranger. Its color is Hero Red, and I like it so much better than the Claret red that preceded it.

I hope to upgrade my R-21 EC to a larger craft in the next few months. Whichever one I eventually acquire, I intend to paint it Hero Red because the color is so striking and so, well, colorful! 🙂

You are welcome to use the pictures in the Nellie Too's photo album. Nellie Too has a green hull.

Help yourself. But, without going into a long explanation, keep in mind that colors can appear quite different based on white balance of the camera, color-space of the computer, and the computer display or printer.

There are lots of great pictures on the site. Just don't expect the actual gel coat to appear exactly the same as the images on your, or someone else's, computer.

Cheers,

Bruce

Well, ILLUSIONS is sitting in your yard anxious to go so you can get a shot of her (Laueen Green) before we motor off into the sunset!

I am trying to recall back to when we ordered "Kamalani" from our dealer in Ventura, CA. We were specifically looking for red, but to firm up our decision, the dealer produced a set of color sample "chips" about 2 x 3 inches each, held together with a bead chain. There were at least a dozen choices of which "Hero Red" was our preference. I would quess that the factory provided this to dealers, but I don't know that for sure. Maybe a PM to Jeff Messmer?

Alex, "Kamalani"

My dealer had the chips also. But that is not the same as seeing the whole boat in a color. It would be nice if the dealer had pictures of other options also. I don't think the options should be such a big secret.

Thanks to everyone - for offers, suggestions, experiences and thoughts. You are a generous group.
We do have the chips but it's not the same as seeing a whole boat - either in a photo or in person. I'll be adding pictures with links back to albums posted here. I hope that will allow our Soon-To-Be-TugNuts the opportunity to see as many photos as helps make a decision. The variety of weather and light conditions, angle, and models make each picture uniquely valuable. And what better place to find lovely pictures of Ranger Tugs than here, where you post the pictures of the Tugs you love?
Thanks again,
Rosemary

Hi Rosemary:

You can always snap a few shots of YOLO. She is right there!

They did it! Looks like Rosemary and Peter of Winter Island Yacht Yard assembled a nice array of pictures of the available colors: Midnight Blue (my favorite, of course); Hunter Green; Claret; Hero Red; Ice Blue; Lauren Green; and, Fighting Lady Yellow. Some of those colors are really unusual on a boat. Check out the pictures showing off the colors at Winter Island's web site: http://Ranger-tugs/hull-colors.html Nice job guys!

JerryE, The link for the website does not work.

Take all you want from Spirit of Gratitude's album!
