Anyone: down here in Western Australia we are hearing, with sympathy and empathy, about the recent terrible weather events in the Carribbean and mainland, southern USA. As kindred spirits, you guys are always in our thoughts and prayers. My Australian son-in-law, Nefi, born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and now living here in Australia with his wife and children, is also an ex-US Navy Machinist Mate (USS GEORGE WASHINGTON). He still has many of his family/relatives living in Puerto Rico. From the media releases we hear that Puerto Rico has been heavily affected by the latest hurricane. Unfortunately, much of the overseas communications infrastructure is U/S and he is really stressed not knowing how his relatives are coping. I realise he is able to contact the US Consulate here in Perth, but have any Tugnuts been able to receive any news from friends or relatives living in Puerto Rico? It would be good to get some updates. Kind regards, Stevan
