Hydraulic Steering Fluid

I have a UFLEX steering system in my Cutwater 24. Will Seastar Hydraulic Steering oil be acceptable if UFLEX hydraulic Steering oil is not handy?

I'm pretty sure sea star is compatible but a good question for uflex just to be sure. We have it in stock, can we get you some? Why are you adding fluid? Why don't we group up tomorrow and chat about what you have going on before we add fluid. Thank you.

Thanks for the quick reply. Actually I'm not planning to add any hydraulic steering fluid at this time but am stocking up on a couple of items I'd like to have handy, should the need arise. Being fairly new to this craft and doing a lot of learning, am I wise to have some steering fluid readily available or is it an expense that could wait. I purchased the 2017 Cutwater 24 last October so it's still "new".
Thanks for the offer of the Uflex. If you agree it's a good item to have handy, how would I go about ordering it from you? The other item is a replacement sheer pin for the bow thruster. I'm guessing I could find that at Fisheries Supply but am curious to know if Cutwater has a parts department that could be accessed for some items as needs arise in the future.

If you look in your uflex user's manual it gives an ISO spec for the oil. Any hydraulic oil (virtually all of them)that meet the spec can be used.
