Just so you know, I'm a better mechanic, not an electrician. Here’s what I have going. In the middle of the night I noticed that the Garmin auto pilot display was on, for how long, I’m not sure, but I was reasonably certain it wasn’t on when I went to bed. All my switches are off however the NMEA switch light was on, even though it was in the off position. I flipped it on and off and nothing happens other than the light stayed on. I made sure the ignition was off and that made no difference. I turn the house batteries off and it still stayed on, both the switch light and the display.
I just pulled the Wabasto and cleaned all the soot out and got it back running. I did that earlier in the day. I'm not sure if there was wiring on that side of the boat that I may have pushed around causing this problem. I don’t think so, but maybe, thoughts? I think the switch itself is bad and needs to be replaced. If so, do they just pop out? OR, does anyone have any other idea that I might take a look at and remedy the problem? Thanks
