Ice chests for R-21s

Hi Folks-

Does anyone have suggestions for an ice chest that fits in the larger aft storage locker of the R-21? The dimensions might not accommodate a standard cooler.

Alternatively, what cooler do you all recommend in the 100-150 quart range?

We just use one of those Igloo Max Cold 5 day coolers and strap it down on the dive platform. It sits there out of the way nicely both at anchor and while underway. The ice may not last 5 days, but it does last longer than regular ice chests. The ice will last a weekend.

Im a fan of Engel Coolers. One of the original "bearproof coolers" but keeps ice substantially longer than most .I have a 65 Qt Deep Blue in the back of my truck and it is very stingy on ice.
As fas as big coolers go and cost , SSI 200 qt 300 qt are good ones for value and quality and keeps a cooler full of ice slowly melting for well over a week in hottest Florida summer ,with 8" or better remaining at 7 days in the 200 Qt.The big Engel may be better but I cant find an excuse to convince my wife we need one .
You guys in the PNW live in a cooler !You just need a baggie full of ice for the weekend ...................

You may want to consider a Yeti--They are designed to use dry ice---ours has maintained freezing temps for well over one week. We have both a smaller one and a very large one that fits nicely on the swim step, for long trips.
