icw marinas

We are planning to go down the icw in February and coming back in May. I need the best guide to marinas and anchorages
along the icw all the way to about the center east coast Florida from Norfolk. I heard Bob's guide is good and the water guide also, so if anyone knows of a better guide, I would love to know. We are going late due to stuffing box issues and family.
I hope global warming takes affect so it won't be too cold going down lol.

Online you have Active Captain, Salty Southeast Cruiser n Waterway Guide. Waterway Guide, who owns Skipper Bob also has a several print versions, including the area you’re looking for.

If you want paper with lots of adds and pictures, buy one of the Waterway Guides. If you don’t need paper, you can eqsily rely on Active Captain and Waterway Guide’s online listings of marinas and anchorages. Skipper Bob’s products are available in hard copy and electronic versions.

I use active captain. If you have Navionics, which is a Garmin product along with active captain, you can plot a route and then see what marinas are along the way. My experience has been don't plan too far ahead. Weather and things you want to see tend to change plans. Many marinas are using Dockwa now for reservations. If you get the App you can also find marinas with reviews on that as well.

Thanks for the comments. I just went to a snowbird southbound conference in Hampton Virginia. They mentioned that active captain is getting old and suggested aqua maps or navionics. I have active captain and think it's great but then again my 25 draws only 2.5 ft. so alerts on shoaling are taken with a grain of salt since they are mostly for sailboats which have anywhere from 4 to 6 ft. draft. Active Captain is easy to mark off anchorages and marinas along the way. Easier than navionics.
