We departed St Augustine Wednesday the 4th. Left with a 42 ft Nordic Tug. They got the room but I had the speed and the fuel economy. We took anchorage at Ponce inlet. Nice quite spot. Good place for the dog. On into to Titusville the next morning. Enjoyed old friends for two nights at $1.60 a ft at the municipal Marine. Friday on to Cocoa Beach for more old friends. Met them at Sunset cafe on the Banana River for dinner. Spent the night on thier dock for free. They make a really good hamburger.
Set up the vucube and watched UFC 96 untill midnight. Batteries were still up in the morning.

We will head out this morning for Wabasso, Maybe spend the night at Jones Fruit dock . $10.00 an night for docking. $6.00 if you want to plug in. 20 amp. Kind of nice to see the old man hanging in there. He must be close to a 100 years old. 1st time we stopped in there he chargeed $6 a night and gave you a sack of oranges.

Looks like a whole week of 80 and up degree weather.
Life is good

Pasted up Jones Dock. Sunday and a lot of boat traffic. Hard to fend off on his dock. Just past the fruit dock is Pine Island, nice anchorage in about 9 ft of water. Vero Beach in the morning. Just a few miles down range. See you in the morning Henry. 😀

We have been cruising at a steady 8 miles an hour, burning 2 gals an hour. Unless , of course we are bucking wind or tide.
16 miles an hour wot. Taking the Pudgy off I get two miles an hour more. 18 mph.

Did I mention the fuel filler adapter works. I believe I will tighten it up and make it perminent. I wonder if it is necessary to have a breather cap. What do you all think?

We are now tied up at Henrys dock. He has a fantastic home, nice dock and a really fantastic boat. Kind of looks like mine. No wonder........Huh?

This portion of the trip comes to an end here. Tomarrow we head back to Titusville and catch a ride back to
Astor. I will pickup the truck, camper and boat trailer. Proceed back to Ocala for some medical procedures for Dee. One benigh lump removed but another has taken its place. Fast grower. We don't feel it is serious but for the sake of peace of mind do what is necessary. No hill for climbers.

Bahamas in April is still in the cards. The plan will be for Dee to stay with friends in Ocala and fishing buddy goes to the Abacos. Trading mates is what it is called.

Just coming into Vero Beach under the second bridge from the north, here comes a black Ranger Tug. I thought Henry has come to meet us. But it turn out to be the Bay Ranger from Annapolis. Has read posts in the Tugnuts , but says he will join when he gets home. I believe he said they have been on a 4 months cruise. I hope he will come on and tell us the whole story.

This thread will not be continued
Next will be "The Abacos"

It was a pleasure to have Captd, Dee and Pooh Bear visit with us. Darrel and I compared our experiences and the changes we made on our Ranger Tugs etc. We were sorry to see them leave, but look forward to seeing them again. If they are ever in your area, it is definitely worth going out of your way to visit with them. We wish them well.
Henry
