In doing my winterization / clean-up I noticed that I have a few little mussels inside the sea strainer grate that I would like to remove. There are four stainless screws on the bottom side of the grate, however when I remove them, the sea strainer grate still seems firmly attached (even with some prying with a putty knife). So my question is, do we have the (first image) - screw on plate type or the (second image) - thru-hull type on our R21-EC’s?
In looking at the set-up from the sea-cock side I am thinking it is the thru hull style. But thought I would ask those who know a lot more than me before going to too much more trouble. Thanks.
