Subject: If you want a 3rd Yamaha engine key for your R-23 or R-27/OB

Today I walked into my local marina's Yamaha shop to ask for a spare engine key for the F300. I gave them the one I use with a hard plastic covering that comes with the boat. They could not determine the key number. They ask if I had a spare key as that would not have the hard plastic covering and the 3-digit key code would be fully exposed. I ran back to my boat to get the spare and sure enough they were right. The shop carries just about all the engine keys for the F300 and as luck would have it they had one for my F300. It cost $17 and it comes with a rubberized cap and not the hard plastic cap.
