I had a thought the other day. (Like I said, it hasn't happened.)
What happens if the forward hatch, over the v-berth, is left open in the rain, or if it takes a big gulp of water during rough weather (when it should have been tightly closed? The water that ends up on the lower deck could pile up pretty deep, couldn't it? I haven't seen any drains that lead aft unless there is something under the flooring.
There are little drains in the storage area under the port and starboard v-berths but that is all I've seen.
