Impeller Change Video? Yanmar 4BY2

Does anyone have a link to a video for DIY Impeller change on a Yanmar 4by2 IN a ranger 25SC?
I've searched the web and Ranger web page w/o success. I'd like to see how the belt comes off the pulley..I was expecting a tension pulley to be part of the set up but I don't see one...that belt is awful tight and I don't want to damage it or the pulley.

Yanmar says cut the belt and replace it. I put a 22mm socket with a pipe on it to turn the engine and pried it off wits a screwdriver. There is a tool from auto parts to help but it is easy with a flathead. Buy a spare!

I use a serpentine belt remover tool, works great and you won’t damage the pulley. You can stretch the belt to put it back on. Make sure all the grooves are lined up.

Do you have a tension pulley on your impeller belt? I do not...a least I don't see one that is obvious. I have a single belt that drive the impeller pulley from the fly wheel. I'm concerned about over stretching,damaging or gouging metal if I use a screwdriver to lever the belt on/off. Any thoughts?

Yanmar does not have a belt tensioner. It is a stretch belt. As I said I use a belt removal tool to prevent damage. It looks like this https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/lis ... lsrc=aw.ds
I drilled a hole through it and tied a piece of line to it that wraps around my wrist do I don’t drop it in the bilge.

Watch out for misleading info on Tugnuts 4BY impeller threads re using 6mm male hex head socket to remove pump housing bolts.
Yanmar specifies these bolts are TORX M7x38.
Use of hex head or Allen Key type tool will damage the bolt head and may make them unusable.
Torx T40 fits snugly.

That's what the manual says, but my experience is different than that.

The danger here is that the 6mm hex male socket does appear to fit and MAY remove the bolts. If the bolts are tight then this tool will strip the socket of the bolt head and then you are in trouble.

The heads of mt boats raw water pump were 6mm. They are stainless steel, probably not original. Sorry! If I contributed to confusion. Hope I did not accidentally damage your boat.

The 6mm male hex head removed the first 2 bolts but on the third I felt the tool rotate inside the bolt head socket. I decided to check the manual and discovered TORX reqd. TORX T40 fits great even in the partly damaged bolt. Same bolts re-used on re-assembly with no apparent problems. So AOK in the end but I wanted to post a warning.
