I see a nice looking inflatable on E Bay it's a Bestway Hydro Force Caspian model #BESW007-1 91inl 51w 13in tubes for 408.00. has any one bought one and if so give us a report.

Walmart sells this also for $399.00. It is PVC. PVC is lighter, but susceptible to UV light and heat. At $399.00 I would consider it a throw away. In other words if you get a few years out of it you got you money's worth. Being in the PNW you may want a RIB. I do not have a RIB and was in the PNW for a short period. I definitely had to take care when going ashore. For a short stay I managed, but if you will be using your dingy often you may want to bite the bullet and go RIB with hypolon.

Thanks for the come back Knotflying, I am trying to keep the weight down on the stern. We currently have a Livingston on Weaver hangers. We have had used soft bottom inflatables for years and use Buddy Wheels to beach them. With the wheels down they keep the prop from grounding and allows you run up to the beach under power. We Live on Lummi Island and have a mooring near home where we keep a Avon 10 ft air floor on the beach to run back and forth to the mooring, and set crab pots during the brief Dungeness season in Hale Passage. I think I will check out WallMart if we get a PVC boat we will probably travel with it rolled up.

Hey for $399.00 you can't go wrong. I may get one also. My dingy has finally bit the dust. I don't even use davits with mine. I use the ratchet ties attached to the rear cleats on the swim platform. I loop once around the stern pontoon that will rest on the swim platform and then over the other pontoon and then hook onto the stern rail. Then I run the other line through the painter ring and up and over the bow pontoon and then clip to the stern rail and ratchet down. Never had an issue.
