I'm looking to store our Kismet somewhere on the I-75 corridor between Knoxville and Chattanooga, Tennessee for 2 to 3 months. I'm looking for indoor and controlled heat. I know I can go online and do a search but I'm looking to see if someone has any first hand experience or recommendations on a facility in this area. Thanks in advance for your suggestions or thoughts.

If y'all go for the I-24 corridor between Nashville and Chattanooga, it would be closer to Lynchburg (Jack Daniels) and Tullahoma (George Dickel).

But seriously, there might be some small airports that have hangar space available in that area.

An airplane hangar works well. There are boats stored at my airport. It will not be heated though. If you are in a cold weather area, bite the bullet and flush the systems with RV fluid. SImple job.

I prefer For Lytton self storage in Wakerley when I was in Australia. Now I have moved to USA and looking for mini storage facility for my boat. Can anybody here suggest me some good services?

What we've done when wanting to store our boat in an area away from our home is a three pronged approach. Make a post on Tugnuts asking for local information for the area you're considering doing the storage, do an internet Google search for the same area and or if there is a marina in your chosen area ask them for their opinions.

Good luck,

Hangar is the way to go. We own one for our aircraft and other toys and keep the temp at 55 all winter. I'd call the fixed base operators (FBOs) at airports along the corridor and see what's available. Pricing will be varied depending on their occupancy rates.

Hello Jim -- I met you folks last winter in Fort Myers Beach and I follow Tugnuts and your website. You might try rvparkpalace.com in Chattanooga. I have not been there but looks like a nice place. Gary

We have stored at RV Park Palace in Chattanooga in 2011/12 however they were full this last fall. We ended up finding a place in Nashville for 3 months and have since picked Kismet up and we're currently cruising in Florida. We had a problem finding storage anywhere from Chattanooga to Knoxville to Nashville not because of availability, there are plenty of places. The problem we had was bad forward planning, we waited until we actually needed it and therefore created our own availability shortage. Next time we'll make arrangements well in advance.
