Installation of anchor raw water wash down 26 Cutwater

I completed the anchor raw water wash down today. The hardest part was getting the hose run between the liner and the hull . I also ran a TV cable and and 12/3 boat cable to the bow so I could add a TV to the Berth area. Here are a few pictures of the Project.

Having done my share of routing hose/tubing/wiring forward from the mechanical space I can empathize with what this job took 🙁

Looking at this post reminded me how fortunate we all are that Ranger/Cutwater boats were designed with a watertight chain locker. We lived aboard a Westsail 32 for several years which had a locker that was open to the V-berth. Whenever the rhode got muddy it reeked.

can you share a few more tips on running lines through the boat? how much and what panels did you remove to get to this?

that light fitting looks good in that new location. did you remove that panel? (removing the square screws?)

from the engine bay which side did you go starboard or port under fridge and oven?

I ran the hose up the port side I looked at starboard side but getting around the head was going to be difficult . I removed the port side interior wall in the cave. This gives access to get the hose from engine compartment ( This is where the shut off valve is located) to midship all the way to the back side of marine air unit. From there to bow thruster it gets tricky. I attached a string for my wire pull and a plastic protector on the end of the hose so the hose would not get hung up from the raw fiberglass . ( there is a lot of rough fiberglass. My hands looked like I was in a fight with a Cat).... Once the hose made it into the Berth area I had to cut a hole at the bow and ran the hose up to the anchor locker. I used a color matching self closing wrap sheathing so the hose and wires are not exposed. The pump switch remains in the cockpit and the water shut off is in the engine compartment easily accessible in the Pilot house. The 26 has the hatch on the deck in front of the oven. I wanted a shut off in the aft part of the boat and plan on having the ball valve off except for when pulling the anchor. We must be careful with water lines that come from the sea there is enough water to sink a boat 😀

The light was installed in the starboard aft side of pilot house. Removal of the wood panel 4 screws. I also had to remove the curtain track. The wood panel is a tight fit. Once removed I wood glued a butt block to the back side of the panel so the screws for the light had something to anchor to. I wired the light to an accessory fuse in the panel there are a number not being used.
