Pardon my ignorance, but what does HW and SW stand for?
HW- Hardware
SW- Software

I have a 2014 CB31 the volvo control has a low speed button is this the same that you did afterwards?
I did engage the button once, the light blinked but did not notice it did anything? I'll try again ran out of time that day (I am new owner) had bigger issues to deal with.
Thanks

Great info on the slow speed valve thanks for posting it. I just bought a c28 in November and had it shipped up to anchorage Ak. Anyway I was out trolling the other day using the slow speed valve and was getting speeds between 1.5-1.7kt. I was really wishing I could get 2.0-2.3kt
If unders stand your post correctly while the slow speed valve is engaged I can simply throttle up a small amount to increase the slow speed?

Yes, that is correct. I was always able to troll at 1kt to around 4kts depending on opposing currents and winds. The only issue to be aware of is when also having Auto engaged as very low trolling speeds can cause the Auto's hydraulic pump to stall and this is made apparent by the noise it emits.

Ok good to know I will mess with it again next time I take it out. I tried a little last time but didn’t know if it was ok to add throttle while engaged in low speed mode. It also sounded a little clunky when a little throttle was applied. Which didn’t encourage me to try more.
