Well, I finished my interior on my R27. I do not like oil, so varnish was my only choice. Someone, sorry I forgot who, told me to use the "wipe on" method. I got some lint free cloth, used for staining, at the hardware store and used Epithane high gloss. I did 2 coats. Sanded everything first, made the color uniform plus removed any stains or coffee rings. Tacked it off 2 times, wipe down with paint thinner on a lint free rag. After taping off the area, plus I removed anything that was screwed on, 2 coats of Epithane and it looks great. Not that very bright thick varnish look, just a subtle shine. It looks like the factory finish on the exterior walls, inside the head and the table top. I like it. The taping was the hardest part. I chose an area that can be done in an hour or 2. It took me 4 sections. I was able to get it done during the week and still use the boat on the weekends. Now I have the protection I want to the teak without that teak oil look, which I do not like. I was lucky. My boat was a 2012, with 100 hours and the teak still looked new. All I had to do was lightly sand it. Maybe 2 or 3 spots where there was a stain that required 150 grit and elbow grease. I found oil would get mildew quite easily and anything else darkens the color. Epithane works for me.
