Intermittent Gauges

Hello,

I'm hoping for suggestions on the most likely culprit for these gauges to intermittently cut out while underway. A shut down and restart of the engine brings them back up. A shut down and restart of the MFD does NOT bring them back up.

It is a 2019 C28.

First attempt at posting a photo has failed... error saying it can't determine photo size.

Sounds like a nmea 2000 Network issue. The engine gateway supplies the network with your engine data. If there is improper termination or other issues with the nmea network devices can begin to fall off the network or stop transmitting data. Same is true of the engine can bus.

If you have access to where the engine gateway is located, there should be an LED indicator light pair. If/ when the gauges drop off, look at that indicator light and it will tell you whether the failure is on the engine, can bus or the nmea Network.
